What is InboxDollars?

InboxDollars is an award-winning market research company and rewards club founded in the year 2000. They hit the ground running soon getting recognized as an Inc. 5000 company. This is no easy task. Being on the 5,000 fastest growing US companies list is a big deal. Recipients are frequently touted for outstanding growth and remarkable service.

They merged with the platform SendEarnings in 2005 and made the move into Canada during 2014. Since then, they have acquired millions of members on their website by search engine and social media marketing. Having numbers like that is always a positive sign.

Approaching a new survey site or rewards club that doesn’t have a track record can be nerve-racking, so InboxDollars’ history kept us at ease during our test run with them. Let’s take a look at some InboxDollars reviews to get a better perspective from previous users.

Is InboxDollars legit?

InboxDollars is no scam rewards club. Trustpilot has a total of 5,000+ reviews on InboxDollars. Scanning through them, we found two that stood out to us.

Negative user review
Negative user review

This one was very recent and the user claims that they had difficulty getting qualified for surveys. As she mentioned, this could be because of her individual demographics, though. The spin system, which we’ll look at later, also apparently is not a good use of time. This user also mentions that surveys turn into loops of offers that don’t tend to end up anywhere.

Now for some good news. This recent review is much more positive, and the user has been with them for over 5 years. That’s tons of time to learn the platform in and out to give an honest perspective.

They claim that they’ve never had a problem cashing out and that customer service is fantastic. Also note that this user mentions that they didn’t plan to get rich off of Inbox Dollars, and came in with the right mindset.

The bottom line is you need to do your research

Sometimes people sign up for survey sites with too high of expectations, and that’s where some bad reviews come from. If you want to have a consistent side hustle, these sites are great. But don’t expect to be buying a new Ferrari any time soon.

Owned by CotterWeb Enterprises

The actual company that owns InboxDollars is called CotterWeb Enterprises Inc. It was founded by Daren Cotter, a well-respected entrepreneur, mentor, investor, and business advisor.  They have been accredited by the Better Business Bureau and received an A+ rating. This is very impressive, although we did notice an abundance of poor customer reviews on the BBB website.

Overall, Inbox Dollars appears to be trustworthy. They have literally thousands of reviews online and we have confidence moving further into our review. To keep the ball rolling, here’s how you sign up and use their website.

How does InboxDollars work?

Visit the homepage and click sign up through the form. It’s much shorter than other survey sites, making the process easier and quicker. You also get $5 for free which is a great bonus. This made them stand out to us from the start.

Canadian users have DailyRewards

Unfortunately, Canadian users are not eligible to sign up at the time of this article, but can for the DailyRewards alternative. It’s literally the same platform, but specifically for users in Canada.

If you plan on signing up for multiple surveys you should think about setting up a separate email address.  It’s a quick way to optimize the survey process a little by cutting down on inbox clutter.

Aesthetically the website isn’t the best we’ve seen. Despite this, the navigation is straightforward and everything is neatly organized. You first have a list of activities you can do for extra money and a tab for the latest deals to the left of it.

How do you find the offers you are eligible for?

The “Latest Offers” section is where you’ll find a range of low to high paying tasks. This is one feature that we really enjoyed about Inbox Dollars. You don’t just complete online surveys. You can also earn money by signing up for offers, using various online products and services, and watching videos with ads.

Doing a survey after survey can bore you to tears, but InboxDollars is much more entertaining with the variety they offer.

The surveys page itself displays which are available, how much money they award, and the average time it takes to complete it. Once you begin a short survey, you must first complete a quick qualification. Unfortunately, you do not earn any points or extra money if you disqualify. This is a standard practice among many other survey websites, but not here.

How do you earn cash with InboxDollars?

Perhaps the most unique feature, and most fun, is that you can make money shopping online with certain offers. Granted, it’d be best if you already planned to purchase something similar, but it’s a definite way that they stand out.

Other earning opportunities include:

  • Using search engines
  • Listening to radio stations
  • Referring to other users
  • Reading emails and replying to them
  • Playing games online

If you navigate to the support or FAQ pages, there’s also a heap of information to help you with any issues. These cover topics like Inbox Dollars terms of membership, canceling your memberships, taxes, and more.

What are InboxDollars’ rewards?

Unlike some survey websites that we’ve reviewed, such as VIP Voice, InboxDollars only offers cash rewards or gift cards for your time. The minimum balance to cash out is $30, but they will also take a $3 fee. If you wait until you have at least $40 before withdrawing, you can waive it and save a bit of cash.

How much can you earn?

You can expect to earn $0.25 to $4.50 per survey, and some of them only take 10 minutes or less. As you complete more tasks, you also earn spins for the Spin and Win mini-game. This gives you the chance to win sweepstakes, extra cash, or survey tokens.

Signing up for websites can get you up to $20 or more in your pockets — all for just registering on a website InboxDollars partners with. Some of these don’t require a credit card or for you to purchase anything, either.

How do you get paid?

After a request is made to withdraw your money, it will take from 10 to 16 business days to be processed. You also instantly become a Gold Member after your first payout, giving you access to weekly payments.

Payments are made via:

  • A check mailed to your address. These take 10-16 days on average to arrive and are mailed through the US postal service.
  • Prepaid gift cards from Amazon, Visa, Walmart, and more.

Pros of InboxDollars

Okay, so what’s the best part about having an InboxDollars account? These are what we believe them to be:

  • Quick and fast money: Inbox Dollars easily has the best platform for earning money online that we’ve seen. You can be earning up to tens of dollars for a single task, compared to other platforms that might offer a couple of cents in points.
  • It’s not just surveys: There are literally over two dozen different ways you can getting cash through this website. The variety not only keeps the process entertaining but creates more opportunities to earn. For example, you might not be eligible for many surveys, but there could be several paid signups available.
  • Reliability: Great customer service and very consistent with payments and earnings.

Cons of InboxDollars

We’ll be honest. InboxDollars has been one of the first platforms that we had trouble finding real flaws. These are some minor critiques we do have, though.

  • Outdated website: While we didn’t find it to directly impact the user experience, the site has an outdated appearance.
  • Processing fee: If you don’t wait until withdrawing $40, you get hit with a $3 processing fee. It’s not huge, but you’re still losing a tiny bit of the work you put into earning it.
  • Prepaid card eligibility: InboxDollars offers prepaid visa cash cards, but they are only available for US residents at this time.

Wrapping Up our InboxDollars Review

Our InboxDollars review found them one of the best survey panels for earning money that we’ve had the pleasure to review. Signing up is very easy, and you’re rewarded $5 for verification. With millions of InboxDollars members, it’s easy to see why so many users are active.

While there are gift cards available, the biggest benefit is that this platform is all about earning pure cash. It’s a great thing to do as a student, or even if you want to make some side money if you have a full-time job.

Activities pay anywhere from $0.25 to $20 or more. This is very impressive and much higher compared to a standard survey website.

Don’t feel like taking surveys one day? No problem. You can always play games or watch videos, instead. You have a lot of freedom.

Payments are made through check or prepaid visa gift cards, which keeps things simple. The processing time is fairly long, which is one downside, though. Although once you receive the first payout, it becomes faster.

Overall, we highly recommend that you sign up and give InboxDollars a shot. So, what are you waiting for?

Go and earn some money!
