On its website, the IRS offers free file fillable forms. These are electronic tax forms that any taxpayer can fill out and file online for free. You can use this program to:

  • Choose the income tax form you need
  • Enter your tax information online
  • Electronically sign and file your return
  • Print your return for recordkeeping

These forms have significant limitations, including limited functionality and the inability to make changes once your tax return has been accepted by the IRS. However, the most significant limitation is the lack of step by step guidance when completing these forms.

That’s where we come in. We’ve created step by step, instructional articles for over 230 federal tax forms, and are publishing new articles each day!

We strive to keep these articles current with the most up to date information, and we keep the most current version of fillable tax forms on our site! Additionally, we’ve listed the IRS limitations you’ll encounter if you choose to use the free file versions of these fillable forms.

This page contains the exact same list of forms on the IRS website. While we have not completed guides for every single tax form or schedule, we are striving to keep them up to date with the latest changes and information!

We’ve also posted instructional videos to our YouTube channel! In addition to links for our written guides, we’ve posted a direct link to the YouTube video next to the form number. And if you want to subscribe to our channel, you’ll be the first to know as new videos are released!

However, if there is a form or schedule that you don’t see a guide for, please post a comment to move it to the top of our list!
